Marketing Monday: Go Local!

bde_logo.gif Even though my local paper could technically be considered The New York Times, I knew that there were other places to contact when I needed help getting the word out about Violet on the Runway.In my borough of Brooklyn, I thought about all the smaller newspapers that exist, and I set up an interview with The Brooklyn Eagle. And Brooklyn isn't my only home--I still consider Chapel Hill, NC, where I grew up, my hometown. So I got in touch with UNC's The Daily Tarheel. Both small, community-minded publications, both great places to promote. Don't forget your local paper(s)!
