M6H0_261.jpg 2008. Woohoo! I’m psyched for this year. I don’t really have any resolutions except to be grateful for all the good things in my life. I know that sounds super-cheesy, but whatever. It’s true.
And Vanessa can be thankful that she was chosen at random to win the autographed copy of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist! Send me your address, Vanessa!
This week, I’d love for you to share any resolutions you have. Then I’ll randomly choose a poster to win a lovely, brand new MAC lip conditioner (pictured above with dramatic black background). It’s good for guys too–and you need it in winter!
So, start listing those resolutions–and enjoy the new year!
PS-The last contest asked for your favorite movie adaptation–and I am fascinated by all the different answers! I’m with Kelbey–mine is High Fidelity. I’m just a sucker for John Cusack. I may be confusing him with Lloyd Dobler, but either way, who can resist this guy? Not I, my friends. Not I.

My new year, besides to stop eating fast food, is just to live a normal life. Don’t fight with my brother, avoid friendship drama, and just try to make ME time every once in awhile. Including going to the beach to do homework as much as possible. Let’s see how long this works.

  6. Kelbey says:

    hmmm….resolutions.
This year, I didn’t really think about that.
well the first that comes to mind is to stop fighting with my mother.
Awhile ago a thought occured to me that if I fought with my mother about things that bugged me, I’d win.
Now, my grandmother is sleeping in my room and I am on the floor in our computer room.
I’ve decided that I should rethink my strategies.
    haha
That seems rather big for now, so I’ll have to get to work on that.
    wish me luck!

My new years resolution is to just not care anymore!
I’m not going to care that I don’t look like the girls on tv.
I’m not going to care that I work inside of a cube everyday.
I’m not going to care that my family always seems to rely on me for everything.
I am going to care about the things that make me smile…like a great story (whether in book/tv/movie/song form)….or a huge plate of yummy pasta…..trying to help people, no matter how small the deed is……and a hundred other things!
    Happy New Year!!!!

  10. Miss Angel says:

My resolution is to make the most of each moment. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I’m going to do next weekend or what’s happening next month or whatever, instead of living in the moment.
    Happy New Year all!

My new year’s resolution is to figure out what type of person I want to be and how to be her. It’s a broad goal but it covers everything I want to be able to do in the next year. (I.E. Draw people’s portraits, write a book, and figure out wht I’m really passionate about to pursue.)
Btw, I really liked your review on Jun. I haven’t seen it yet but your review put a nice glimpse at what I might see other than the “IT WAS BRILLIANT!” reviews. =]

  14. Ink says:

My resolution is to buy fewer books. So much of my money has gone to books, when I can be going to the library for free. Most of my 2007 purchases were on reading material.
