This week, I’m giving away a copy of two lovely books by the effervescent Maureen Johnson… Suite Scarlett and Scarlett Fever. I just got to read these over the weekend, while in the country (Hence that green field! Love green fields! Forgive my weird toes.), and I was totally enchanted by every chapter. I love Scarlett Martin and her escapades, not to mention her hilarious siblings, her gorgeous Hopewell Hotel home and her eccentric and fabulous boss, Mrs. Amberson.
You must, must read these books! So, to enter to win, just tell me what you’re reading right now. Name one or more books that are on your nightstand, in your bag, by your favorite chair, wherever. Might as well tell me where you’re reading them, too, now that I’ve brainstormed all those locations (those are where I read, and I’m currently reading Heist Society by Ally Carter–readergirlz featured author this month! I love a caper.)
Good luck!

I’m reading “The Cinderella Society” by Kay Cassidy right now, and so far I have only read it in bed. =)
I just finished reading the fourth Gallagher Girl book by Ally Carter. Next, I’m going to start The Amanda Project. I’ll probably end up reading it at home, but I might go sit on the back porch and soak up the sun.
I just finished Girl Parts by John M. Cusick. Didn’t read it anywhere interesting though… Just my bedroom. I’ll probably start Mistwood by Leah Cypess today.
I’ve just started “Committed” by Elizabeth Gilbert. Not so YA at all. And I only read it in bed – ten pages, and then I fall asleep.
I JUST finished reading Suite Scarlett yesterday. I really enjoyed the book — I loved Spencer, Mrs. Amberson, and the family dynamics. For most of Suite Scarlett, I sat snuggled in the corner of our big red sectional couch — it’s the comfiest spot in the living room.
I’ve since purchased Lauren Barnholdt’s One Night that Changes Everything, and I’m reading it during render breaks at work on my phone.
I LOVED Heist Society. Hope you enjoy it, too.
That green field is so pretty!
I’m currently reading WINGS by Aprilynne Pike at my mom’s office. I’m typing this at my mom’s office, too!
Love, Hannah
Just started on Dark Life by Kat Falls. Saw Al Roker pick it for his next kids book club on the Today Show and ran by school and ther it was in my Junior Library Guild shipment. Would love to read the sequel to Suite Scarlett, heard Maureen Johnson speak at The Children’s Book Festival at University of Southern Mississippi in April and she was FANTASTIC! Best speaker of the conference! I read anywhere…my comfy chair, the bed, in line at the bank drive-through…my friends don’t understnad the concept of an “emergency book” in the car for just such occurances!
I’m reading Patrick Ness’s ‘Monsters of Men’ and have The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on tap!
I’m reading the second book in a series. My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent! It’s a YA novel and very good series! tWarner419@aol.com
I’m reading Finny, Nomandsland and The Iron Daughter right now.
I’m reading Red Flag Warning by Kurt Kamm.

I just finished Meg Cabot’s Insatiable, and now I’m on a re-read: Barbara Kingsolver’s Pigs in Heaven. I love Taylor and Turtle!
I’m reading Too Wicked Too Kiss by Erica Ridley (on my couch) and The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Renee Hieber (on my bedroom). Two places with two great books
I just finished Kisses and Lies, and I am about to read Wake and I also have The DUFF sitting on my nightstand
I’m reading Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman.
You just mentioned two of my all-time favorite YA authors, yay! I own all of Maureen Johnson’s books, so please don’t enter me in the contest, but I just had to chime in with my love for Scarlett, and for Ally Carter! I actually just met the latter at a signing for Only the Good Spy Young, and I INHALED all her books in the last month (which, trust me, is a feat when you have a full-time job and a constant rotation of library books).
As for what I’m reading, I just finished Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games and got obsessed – I’m reading Catching Fire now. I’m glad I only found them now, because waiting for Mockingjay would be horrible!
I’m reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks, and Just finished Happiness Sold Separately by Lolly Winston. I usually read outside in my comfy lawn chair under a shady tree or snuggled in bed with lots of pillows!
I’ve had these books on my to read list! Thanks for entering me into this giveaway.

I am currently reading It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han, Endless Summer by Jennifer Echols, and Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour! I’m really into summer books right now!
Great giveaway!
Well I just read a few books by Cathy Marie Hake and Kristen Heitzman. They are christian romance writers and I just love their books. Right now I’m reading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. Its part of the Mortal Instruments series. Its a really good book so far.
Going Bovine, by Libba Bray. I’m about half done. It’s really crazy, but I love it.
I just finished Will Grayson, Will Grayson and now I’m reading Captivate by Carrie Jones. I mostly only read in bed since that’s when I have time!
I just started reading The Dark Divine, and I really like the mystery aspect. I’m on summer break right now so I read everywhere – in bed, in random chairs, on my couch, in the car… anywhere!
I just started The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. I’m liking it so far. And I’m reading at home. It’s to hot to go outside!
I’m just about to start reading Paper Towns by John Green. I’ll be reading it mostly by the side of the pool, to celebrate the gorgeous weather we’ve been having!
Greek god(dess) fun in Oh My Gods by Tera Lynn Childs. Thanks for the great giveaway.
Write now I’m reading The Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King! So far it is good! Can’t wait to find out what happens with Emer/Saffron!
Also, I have Suite Scarlett so, if I win, I would only need Scarlett Fever!
I am currently reading Tweet Heart by Elizabeth Rudnick. I love the style in which the book was written, with Twitter posts, blog entries, etc. Next on my list is The Chosen One by Carol Lynch Williams. One of my co-workers suggested it to me, and now I can’t wait to read it. My favorite spot to read, is currently curled up on the swing seat we bought a couple summers ago, outside in the glorious summer weather Michigan is having this year.
I’m reading Early to Death, Early to Rise by Kim Harrison (I really loved the first one), The Other Wes Moore by Wes Moore, & Generation Dead…but I need to start a paperback that I can read by the pool!
Oooh, someone read Girl Parts–I want to read that!!
I’m reading Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs
& Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer
I’m reading ‘New Moon’ for a quick fun read.
My long read is ‘Wolf Hall’ and for non-fiction I have ‘Six Days of War’ on the go.
I just finished reading Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. It was the first book I ever read that left me at a loss for words!
Now I’m choosing between:
1) The Fallen by Thomas E. Sniegoski,
2) Witch & Wizard by James Patterson,
3) Splendor by Anna Godbersen,
4) Need by Carrie Jones, and
5) a number of classics including The Picture of Dorian Gray.
I’m also currently reading Crime and Punishment for AP English.
Ahhh… Isn’t reading what summer was made for? =)
