Win-It Wednesday: Fairy Ring necklace and Frenemies

Another talented contributor to the book party gift bag is Natha Perkins, a badass and elegant metalsmith who put a generous gift certificate in each SWAG bag. Natha says, "I pound, pierce, fire, emboss and more to make every piece amazing and unique." And--lucky us!--she has graciously donated a gorgeous Fairy Ring necklace for this week's Win-It Wednesday! Inscribed on the ring is, wait for it... "The fairies dance with the violets"--how perfect is that?! The pendant itself is a hammered circle that nestles together with candy colored semi-precious stones, and it hangs on an 18" sterling bead chain. I'm so into it.
And I'm also giving away a copy of Alexa Young's Frenemies, which not only has holes in the cover, but is also a fun and fabulous read that fits in with New York Fashion Week, going on now (Pics from pretty, pretty Vivienne Tam show on the way!). 
This book has all the spirit of middle school and the fashion world. Which means major snark, but spread around with humor and heart. Honestly, Frenemies could have easily fallen into being a flat and mean-spirited read, but Alexa writes so well (as you can tell from her hilarious blog) that she created girls you actually care about following. I truly enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait for book 2, Faketastic. Oh, and with Alexa's book I'll throw in my invitation to the Vivienne Tam show, which I vlogged about here--it's pretty and is a good bookmark for fashion reads like Frenemies.

I would wear that Faerie Ring necklace EVERYWHERE. Faeries and purple and silver, how that does not scream CAT! I do not know. ;)

I LOVED Privileged, even if I apparently can't spell it right the first three times. Sigh. ;)

Totally forgot to answer the question.. silly meeeeee.. I would wear it to COLLLEGEEEE :D so everybody could see it, and so I could tell the story of how it came from America ;) Haha!
And just thought.. if I won frenemies (LUCKYNESSSS, hehe), I couldn't go the fashion show cause of the being in England problem :P And wouldnt want to waste away anybody elses chance. Haha, wishful thinking there :)

Yeah Privileged looks like it could be pretty good. Whenever I see that girl I can't help but think of her show Reba though. I liked last night's 90210 minus the part when the family takes Silver in for the night I thought that was a little cheesy. It was a little too simple and non-emotional.

I would definitely wear the necklace anywhere - but especially on dates with my husband. It's wicked cute!

That necklace is gorgeous! It's got lots of great colors, so I could wear it with most of my clothing. Therefore, I could wear it most anywhere that struck my fancy. Likely classes.

I don't think there's just one place that I'd wear it. The necklace is so pretty I think I'd wear it everywhere! School, shopping, the store. Just everywhere.

I would wear it to my very first Homecoming Dance on September 27!! So excited for it!! Its my very first formal (well, semi formal, if you want to get all technical lol) dance!

i would wear this necklace just about everywhere (excluding the pool and beach- my jewelry tends to disappear at such places). i used to pretend i was a faerie princess as a kid, so this would be perfect.

I would definitely wear the Faerie Ring necklace for anything. It's so pretty and fun. And with the different colors, it could go with a few different outfits.
I'm going to a wedding soon and would definitely wear the necklace there.

I already have Frenemies (so dont enter me for that) but i absolutely ADORE that necklace. it's so unique and beautiful. it makes me jealous just to even see the picture. *sigh* if i won it, i would probably wear it like everywhere. i'd make it my signature piece!!

I would wear it whenever I need to feel beautiful, because it would remind me of Violet.
I would wear it when I write because it inspires my imagination.
I would wear it when I dance and pretend that I was dancing with fairies.

If I got the necklace, I would wear it to school, church, dances, EVERYWHERE! It's GORGEOUS. I wish I could wear it to fashion week, unfortunately I can't go. Haha. Have fun though!! I think I'd start wearing it first around the rennaisance festival near my home, and then I'd wear it to nice occasions with my friends and families. :)
