The May Release Contest: Me and Susane Colasanti!
Lovestruck Summer, by me, and Waiting for You, by Susane Colasanti, are almost in stores (or maybe even already in stores!). So we invented a contest, and we present it to you in video format:
Forgive me for my amateur hour filming and editing--I tried!
So, you got it, right? Basically, you just comment here telling me your favorite TV or movie soulmates, and you'll be entered to win Susane's prizes. Then go comment at Susane's blog for a chance to win my prizes. And to get a double entry, share this video via your blog, twitter, facebook, myspace, an email--whatever. Just tell us you did that and your entry doubles itself. Yay!
You've got a whole month to enter! We'll choose a winner on June 1st.
And, just so you know, that full Too Faced makeup set includes: Lip Bronzer in "Sun Bunny," Pinch My Petals Blush, a cruelty-free Powder & Blush Kabuki Brush, Mineral Bronzer with crushed fresh water pearls, Lockdown Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow in "I'm Guilty." Thanks, Too Faced!
Happy Release Month! (Uh, to me? And Susane!)

My favourite soulmate couple ever is, for sure, Buffy and Angel from...well... Buffy and Angel =P
They were just so swoony, you know?
Also, I don't know if this counts, but I emailed this blog post to my mom. ^_^

Josh and Donna on The West Wing. They eventually started dating (or something like it) after SEVEN SEASONS, but before they did, it was pure torture watching them together, but not TOGETHER.

Your video is so cute! =)
I think I shall say... Amy & Ephram from Everwood. A totally amazing, underrated show. There were times when I didn't like either of the characters, but in the end I rooted for them to get together. Ephram liked Amy from the very beginning, but she was involved with someone else. I like their relationship because so much of it was based on friendship and believing in each other. (And for a runner-up Joey & Pacey from Dawson's Creek ... yes, I still totally ship them.)

Hey! Ok, so my favorite television soul mates have to Luke an Lorelai from Gilmore Girls. They are clearly meant to be together from season one, but they don't even begin to date until season 5. It is obvious that Luke loves Lorelai, but she doesn't see it yet. There are moments in the seasons where you think she finally gets it, but then it slips away. They get engaged at the end of season 5, but it falls through. They aren't together for the ENTIRE final season, but they do get back together in the SERIES FINALE! So you never even see them get married or anything. But ya! Thank you so much for reading this, and I hope I win! :)

Ed and Carol from Ed - I know it's an old show, and no one else watches it, but man, were they awesome together. SO. CUTE.

I watch way too much TV and could have a million answers. But my favorite ever is definitely Buffy and Spike on BtVS. And I can't believe how many Buffy/Angel answers there are here. No way! Sure Spike tries to kill Buffy when they first meet, but he was evil then. Later he falls in love with her and he turns good. She uses him for a while and he still loves her. He is always there for her even when the rest of her friends aren't because he's the only one who really understands her. And he'll do anything to protect her and her little sister. And in the last episode he saves the world for her! Buffy and Spike all the way!
And I posted on my LJ. http://sour-worms.livejournal.com/

At Susane Colasanti's blog I picked Starbuck and Anders from Battlestar. Here I'll choose Veronica and Logan from Veronica Mars. I love that show.

I absolutely adored the chemistry between Landon and Jamie from A Walk to Remember!...They made me completely fall in love and after I watched the movie, I wanted something like that...It was just to surreal and magical!:)
Although Jamie passed away due to her sickness, Landon forever only loved her...that was the most amazing part!:)
Posted by Rowshan Ullah | May 3, 2009 3:35 PM
I'm really loving this contest. so on Susane's blog i put Corey and Topanga from Boy Meets World, but for this i'm thinking Jim and Pam from The Office. They weren't together at the start, but yea.. i really love them together

Patrick Verona and Kat Stratford from 10 Things I Hate About You!! Sigh. Julia and Heath were made for each other in that movie. :-)

So my favorite movie soul mates would have to be Jane Austen and Tom Lefroy from Becoming Jane. And if you have never seen this movie you should James McAvoy need I say more.
Posted by Mary | May 3, 2009 7:21 PM
My favorite TV soul mates would be Dan and Serena from Gossip Girl. They're not together right now, but I truly believe that they're meant to be. I think they only broke up because their parents were together. But seriously, they're soulmates, and I wish they could realize that. :)

You guys are completely fabulous. Really.
My favorite TV soulmates would have to be Rory and Jess from my beloved Gilmore Girls which I know, is a totally stereotypical answer, but I'm totally in love with them even though they didn't end up together...poo. There's just something awesome about the angsty reader guy hooking up with the prim and proper reader girl. Drama is bound to ensue. YUM. :)
Posted by Liv | May 3, 2009 9:41 PM
tv:
Harm and Mac from JAG. It drove me nuts that they were always dating other people and then Mac was engaged to Brumby at one point! Glad they ended the series with them getting together!
movie:
Amy and Cutter in Men With Brooms. They end up together. :)
...and Jenna and Matt from 13 going on 30...so painful till the end! :D

Two words - The Notebook. Noah and Allie, how can you get a more beautiful, perfect story of soulmates than this!! They meet as teens, have a summer of lurve, part ways, meet up just before she gets married, and the rest is history, or a beautiful story kept in a notebook written so that Allie in her Alziemer nightmare may wake for a moment and remember that the man who reads her this love story everyday is the man she has loved for all time??!! I mean....DUH!!! Nicholas Sparks, hmmm, I wonder what kind of a man he is? Anyone know?? Anyway, that's my greatest soulmates vote! Good Luck with your books guys!! Hope to see them downunder in NZ!! Carla

Edward and Bella from Twilight. Then Britney and Alex for Perfect Chemistry.

Wow this is a hard one! Ok, I'm a geek, so I'm going to say that my favorite TV show soulmates (who NEVER got together unless it was an alternate reality or not real) are Jack and Sam from Stargate SG-1. And my favorite movie soulmates are Christian and Satine from Moulin Rouge!
Posted by Vicky B | May 4, 2009 6:56 PM
I love Chuck and Blair together and at the other end of the age scale House and Cuddy.
In movies there are so many but I love Holly Golightly and Paul from Breakfast at Tiffany's and Maira and Captain Von Trapp in the Sound of Music.
Posted by Alexa | May 5, 2009 1:58 PM
Felicity and Ben from Felicity! I miss that show so much!

My favorite soul mate couple would have to be Amy and Ty on the Heartland TV series!!!
Thanks for the great contest! Congrats on the new releases!
Posted by Reyna | May 5, 2009 10:37 PM
I can't choose just one. First place would go to Max and Logan from Dark Angel. It is one of my favorite tv shows. Pretty messed up how it ended. They should have had a third season. Second would go to Jack and Rose from Titanic. Third, to Romeo + Juliet (the Dicaprio version). Lastly, I think Edward and Bella from Twilight. The movie was very disappointing though. I could go on, but I was only supposed to choose one in the first place.

Definitely Elizabeth Bennet and Mr.Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. A true classic. They're both too stubborn for their own good.
And then.. these don't count but..
Definitely Jack and Rose from Titanic
Rory and Jess from Gilmore Girls
Jamie and Landon from A Walk to Remember
Noah and Allie from The Notebook
Posted by Glenda R | May 6, 2009 2:06 AM
Funnily enough, no one's mentioned this yet on either of your blogs... but my favorite TV soulmate pair is definitely Booth and Brennan from Bones. I mean, I love the subtle chemistry and everything, and I pretty much squealed my face off when they shared that one kiss under the mistletoe. But they BELONG together! And they need to figure that out ASAP!!! Or I will go mad! (Okay, not really. But it'd be nice to see that anyway!)
Great giveaway, you guys! And I totally heart your movie-making skills, Melissa! =D I posted the video and the contest at my blog: http://dissectingperfection.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/refined-carbs-for-the-soul-3-summer-licious-books/

Bye.
P.D. My english is not very good xD

Ok...so tv: Lorelia and Luke from Gilmore Girls by far. They went so long without being together and then FINALLY they get together only to break up! ugh! But, YAY!, they get back together at the end of the series. I hate that the show is no longer on :( so sad...
And movie: Noah and Allie in The Notebook. Best love story ever! I am infatuated with the idea of passing on at the same moment as my true love ever since that movie!
oh..and Blair and Chuck on Gossip Girl. They are so meant for each other....they just can't get it straight! grrr... :)
Posted by Sarah Jennings | May 6, 2009 3:25 PM
My movie soul mates would be Aiden and Carrie from Sex and the City. Even though they didn't end up together. I just loved the romance they had.

well ghost whisper, and meduim, both those shows, it seems they are the perfect soul mates, which i really envy
Posted by blackroze37@yahoo.com | May 7, 2009 3:46 AM
My favorite soul mates, which eventually got together was definately Gemma Doyle and Kartik in The Gemma Doyle Trilogy. They're so incredibly perfect for each other, and have the greatest start. I also love the fact they both essentially know they were meant for each other, and keep putting it off.
I also attempted to post your video, but I pretty much fail. I couldn't get the coding right... and after like 15 minutes of trying I gave up.
But I still posted about it at my blog...

And though A Great and Terrible Beauty isn't officially a movie yet, it's due out in 2010 so technically it fits your rules I think...
Posted by Erica | May 7, 2009 5:49 PM
My Top 3 (in order):
Veronica & Logan from Veronica Mars (SOOO Romeo & Juliet, I swear. I could go on and on and on about this couple forever!)
Derek & Sara from Save the Last Dance (I'm such a sucker for this movie, but they were so perfect for each other and it took sooooooo long for them to see it!)
Jim & Pam from The Office (You know, back before they actually WERE together - and now that they are, all is well in the world!)
Jessica (jessicamcave@comcast.net)
Posted by Jessica | May 7, 2009 9:06 PM
Hm, tough question! But I think I have to agree with Veronica and Logan...talk about star-crossed, wounded lovers. I still thought to the end they could have eventually made it!
Shannon (shannon@shannonmckelden.com)
Posted by Shannon McKelden | May 7, 2009 9:14 PM
I have to say Patrick and Kat from 10 things I hate about you. They're so perfect for each other. I love all the ups and downs of their relationship. I'm not into movies but I've watched this one like hundreds of times.
I posted about the contest here: http://www.facebook.com/notes.php?id=543790462#/note.php?note_id=101632605725

Logan and Veronica ! The chemistry is just explosive ! It's more powerful than Chuck and Blair (and the Gossip Girl couple is already smoking hot together) so even the beautiful Chair can't beat LoVe ! Obviousness !!
Posted by lilo | May 9, 2009 7:59 AM
Being a TV junkie, I had to put some thought into this because there are a lot of couples I adore, but one show always stands out and that is Lorelei and Luke from Gilmore Girls! It was so obvious from the beginning that they were meant to be together, and through the years of almost getting there then being together finally then splitting up (which I was so mad about!), and then *sighs* the last episode they give it another try! And in my mind they have their happily ever hilarious after.
Also cause I love the show so much, Rory and Dean were also my other favorite couple. I liked Jess, but c'mon, it's Dean!! If you haven't seen this TV show, you really should watch it!
I posted the video on my blog here:http://sammyjones57.blogspot.com/2009/05/oooo-look-at-this-contest.html

I would have to say Allie and Noah from The Notebook. They were perfect together - for sure soulmates.
Thanks

I'd have to agree with seth and summer from the OC. That is just adorable. Especially the prom scene (I know I'm not who you voted for, but she's the queen, and I love her, so I guess that makes me the king), I can't help but smile every time I watch a re-run of that episode.
I'm a hopeless romantic.

Well, most of mine have been taken, but i would have to say Jonathan and Sara from the movie Serendipity. They are true soulmates.
I also love Logan and Rory on Gilmore Girls, even though they dont end up together.

this is impossible! which makes it all the more better! haha caitlin! Take that! (she's my bff who 'states' that my obsession for movies wouldn't get me anywhere in life! well pshhh guess again!) Ooh but seriously, this is still rather hard. especially since all of my all time favorite meant-to-be characters all appear in books though, too! hmmm let me think about it...
one hour later...
okay i got it. thinks again, shakes her head in shame, and tries again.
one hour later (yes, i know, again.)

This is hard because there are so many. Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls and Veronica and Logan from Veronica Mars both come to mind
Posted by Erika Lynn | May 15, 2009 1:16 AM
The first couple that came to mind was Charlie and Claire from Lost because they are perfect and cute together, plus they have accents, which I love. And I was thinking about their perfection and how there wasn't so much drama between them... until i remembered there was actually a lot of stuff going on, the baby, drugs, death.
But in my mind they're so perfect and soulmate-y (wow, I sound like a pirate) that I think I purposefully tried to forget.
Posted by Allison | May 16, 2009 1:44 AM
I've always thought that Jesse and Rory were perfect for each other in Gilmore Girls. Opposites totally attract!
Posted by Angie | May 18, 2009 7:07 PM
My favorite television soulmates are Zeeva and Tony from NCIS! Throughout the show they have almost a love hate relationship. Both Zeeva an Tony's pride and joking natures keep them from ever being serious about their feelings towards eachother or revealing them. Every time a watch the show I know that they should be together yet they never do! -Ive always thought they were a perfect match and should be together! Awesome contest!

Boy Meets World Topanga and Corey also Shawn and Angela ( Definitely those two)
The-N's The Best years Samantha best and Jake, he was a total hottie.
Hermoine and Ron from Harry Potter series

Ben, and Felicity from the Television series, Felicity.
That's what I call soul mates. On and off screen in my opinion. She changed colleges for him! I meen, how crazy is that?!
Can you say, Lovesick?
I think so.
They've gone through a million different obstacles in their relationship, but I never get tired of ''Ben&Felicity'' and the butterfly's they gave me in each heartbreaking scene. =)

My favorite soul mates are Noah and Allie from The Notebook. I could watch that movie everyday. I want to be that in love with someone when I'm old and in a nursing home! Their love is inspirational to me.

I actually two favorite soulmates/couples. First is Cory and Topanga of Boy Meets World. I love their witty banter and that show is just so amazing. My second is from a not-too-well-known show called Greek. The main couple is Casey and Cappie who are awesome people separately but even better together. Cappie's lovable and witty, Casey's cute and awesome. Together, it's...yeah. Good stuff.

Woot! I'm comment 100! I'd have to say one tree hill, Nathan and Hailey, they make the perfect couple. I love them together! I have to say I honestly wanted the relationship I was in to be more like theirs for the longest time, and I had to give up on that dream because my high school sweetheart just didn't care enough to actually take any steps towards being together. *sigh* Its a sad thing, but its reality. Though I have to say, finally finding my very own fairy-tale is rather nice. I just found my own prince charming, and I can't wait till our happily ever after begins soon!

So cliche, but Buffy and Angel. In my head, they get together again in twenty years or so. It's very romantic.

Hmmm.. my favorite tv show soulmate. Now that's a hard one. I think I have to say Piper and Leo in Charmed (I miss that show!). They have gone through soooo many obstacles and were so in love with each other. I love the ending! One big happy family and still so in love with each other since the first day they met on the show. haha. I am so obssessed!

Hello!
I posted this on yacontests.blogspot.com.
I think my favorite soulmates were Kate and Luc in French Kiss. (1995 with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline) Them or Faith and Peter in Only You. (Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey, Jr. in 1994) I watched those two movies over and over again growing up. If my VCR still worked, I'd watch them now!
