Win-It Wednesday: Not Anything
I feel like that title seems like you're not going to win anything this week, but it's deceptive!
First, thanks for sharing your current reads. My to-read list is way longer, but that means my to-give-away-after-I-read list is growing too. So it's a win-win. Anyway, last week's winner of Maryrose Wood's Why I Let My Hair Grow Out is.... M! Send me your address, M.
Now, this week's winnable book is Not Anything, by Carmen Rodrigues. And since I'm at the beach and feeling vacationy, I'll just share the blurb I wrote when Carmen gave me an early copy of the book: "Any girl who's ever fumbled her way through changing friendships, first love and real loss will find a friend in Susie Shannon." It's a lovely book, and you will like it! Promise.
To win, just tell me what you're doing this summer. Camp? Family vacations? Getting ready for college? Working? Hitting a music festival?
I'm writing a new book and also spending some time at the beach and then in the mountains with my friends. I am psyched.
Happy Wednesday.

This summer I am learning to drive, going to a concert, taking a SAT Prep class, and doing summer assignments for school. I don't have any vacations planned but hopefully something fun will come up.

This summer I'm interning at an educational company and at a contract research organization. And I'm studying for the GRE! I'm also looking forward to a family beach vacation.

This summer I'm just working full time just like the rest of the year. Hmpf. Being a "grownup" is sort of uneventful. This is the first summer I will not have a summer vacation from anything. Oh well!

i am taking an SAT prep class, volunteering at the library, being an aide for my school's summerschool chem prep class, and reading of course.

Happy Wednesday to you! This summer my boyfriend and I are buying a house. The tentative closing date is July 11th (due to my lack of patience - I'm hoping for July 3rd!) We will also be spending a weekend at an Old Songs Festival in Altamont, NY which I am rather excited for. Then we also spend a weekend in Rehoboth Beach, DE at my parents home! I think that is it for traveling due to the house and getting to work on that but it has been a great adventure so far and I'm sure it will only get better!

Right now there is nothing going on except watching a lot of movies and reading a lot of books. There are a couple of concerts I want to go to though: Avril Lavigne (again), Vanessa Carlton, and the Warped Tour. That probably won't happen though.

I'm working, reading, and doing lots of blogging. In July, there is the county fair, which my family is always active in...and I'm showing in...pigs to be precise.
Don't enter me for the contest, as I've already read NOT Anything, and it was a fantastic book!

I am driving to Las Vegas with my mom starting the 27th. We're going to see my sister and her baby.
I'm trying to get a job at the local Borders or Half-Price.
I may drive to San Antonio late July with my former roomie to see our former neighbor.

Just working and reading. The usual. :)

This summer I'm reviewing books, getting my license, going to summer school (so I won't have to take Algebra II for a full school year), interviewing authors, babysitting, and watching movies.

I have summer school. x.x I'm taking computer now so I don't have to take it during the school year.
And of course, I will be reading a lot.

Just working, reading, and writing. Though, I'm really tempted to throw a vacation in there somewhere. I just don't know to where yet.

Well, it's not actually summer here (Australia), so I'm getting ready for my snowboarding trip in August!
Oh, and the RWAus conference, of course... ^_^

another grownup chimes in - driving kids to/from camp, swimming with them at the Pond, picnics, museums, FUN (and maybe counting down the days until school starts, come August!)
I've been "previewing" a lot of my tween's YA book choices, and would love to share this with her.
How long does the contest run? I'll add it to my Friday Freebies post on June 20th.

I'll be doing tons of stuff to prepare for marching band in the fall. Clarinet lessons. Lots of soccer too. I have pickup games once a week, soccer camp in July, soccer tournaments, and I have to run everyday to get back into shape. And, of course, I'll be reading a new book everyday, hanging out with my friends, and buying all my new school clothes for next year. I'm so excited. haha, yeah right.

I'm leaving next week for FBLA Nationals! I know, you're going to miss me :]
But other than that (and preparation for that), I've been reading and working. I recently got a new bookshelf with hopes that I'd have room for more books once everything was on and... I don't. lol oh well.

This summer I am going to an overnight horse camp. I also plan to volunteer with handicapped children. I may go to Washington State to see my family, too.

This summer I sadly have nothing planned. I am just going to probably see a couple movies and of course read a bunch of books! :)

This summer is definitely a busy one for me!! Of course I would love to say I'm going to be reading everyday, but in all reality that just isn't going to happen. I'm off on Sunday to go to a math and science camp for a month, which I'm totally psyched about. Then I'm home for three weeks to get last visits in with my best friends and have a couple going away parties. Once the middle of August hits I'm off to the North Carolina of School of Science and Math, YEAH!!! Pretty much it's a summer of getting ready for lots of different things and most of all getting all those last minutes in with my friends!!

oo, a new book! how exciting :D
For me it'll be rather similar to last summer: Work (at my local public library!), archery practice, lots of reading & writing, and the Empire State Games! :D oh, and I'll probably be watching the Olympics too!
and just throw college applications into the mix and that's my summer! :)

Lots and lots of camps!
I'll be a counslor in a dog-training camp and a camper in an art camp and a water ecology camp.

What am I doing this summer?... Hmmm... On a negative note, I'll have to do various school/educational things throughout the summer until the new school year. =(
I've already gone to one to overnight camp this summer, it was my seventh summer going. =) And my friends were there and I made new ones too.
Next month I'm going to another overnight camp. It'll be my first time at this new camp, and I'm excited to make new friends.
And the library. They always have fun stuff during the summer and the awesome book club. I'm looking forward to reading some good books.
But, unfortunately, I'm going to miss a lot of things at the library because I'll be babysitting through the summer. =( But atleast I'm earning some $$$ for once. I spent my first week's salary on books. =P
