Reviewers: Early copies of Violet in Private

Hmpf! I tried to buy your first book in this series yesterday at my local Borders and they didn't have it! How dare they! So that's going onto my next Amazon order for sure. I can't wait to start reading reviews for this one, all the books sound so fun!
I really like your covers, the colors really work especially with the black and white. I've always been curious how much input authors get on their covers. If you ever run out of things to blog about I'd love to hear about that whole part of publishing. I've been on the designer's side slightly, but not enough to see how much an author gets to be a part of it.

These countdown thingamabobbers just don't want to work on my wordpress blog! Argh! I have tried everything - sidebar, posts, etc. Sadly I can't get it to work. :(

Would I need to read the first two novels to read the third and understand everything? I'd like to request a copy because I love reading your blog but haven't read the others yet.
