My Plastic Bag Rant
And if that title didn't catch your attention, well, I just don't know what will.
Kidding.
I'm not sure why I'm on a product kick this week, but, as many friends know, I've been obsessed with Chico Bags lately. I refuse plastic bags at the deli, the grocery store, even sometimes at H&M! I say, "I've got my own," and then I pull out a hot pink Chico Bag. It's very impressive.
I just heard about these flip & tumble bags, and I think I might like them too. It's my little "I want to do something green" effort. Next up: I am so giving up bottled water at the gym in favor of my own perma-bottle. Anyone got a recommendation?

Oh, you know what is really cool? At Target they have figured out a way to recycle their plastic bags into another reusable bag. It is soo cute and cool. It's about 6 bucks, too. I love it; I use it when I got to the library and bring home a bag full of books.
You'll have to go check it out!

Latest cancer scare means no Nalgenes. It took me a while to come around, but I now love my SIGG. Stainless steel, baby, and cold water can sit in there for hours and stay cold! Wonderful, if pricey.

I recommend the Kleen Kanteen. It's a stainless steel water bottle and I've had mine for years. I think you can get a 16 ounce bottle for $16. Make sure you don't leave coffee with cream in the bottle, I did that once and it got rank!

Please buy SIGG! I have so many in wonderfully bright designs :] -- a little pricey for a water bottle, but very very worth it. I carry one to cheer practice, to class, on trips -- everywhere I go. I'm rather obsessed haha, sometimes I think I drink so much water only because I think my SIGG bottles are so cute.

Love the bags! No recommendation on the water bottle.

I like the new Target bags made out of Target's recycled plastic bags. Although...my store seems to be taunting me. They had them, and now they don't. And I haven't bought mine yet!!

Oh my gosh, I love those flip & tumble bags! The colors are so nice and bright!
My "perma" bottle is a Contrex bottle I just keep refilling, because I love the shape of it!

Hey those bags are cute! Love the flip and tumble. Not sure what water bottle to buy. When you make you pick please share. It's all so scary. Eek.

Wow those flip and tumble bags are so cute! I have some of the reusable bags for the grocery I go to but I have the problem of forgetting them till I'm in the check out line.
I think using reusable bags is a great, simple way to "go green"!

I love my SIGG and Kleen Kanteen is great, too (and maybe a little less $ than SIGG?)

hi melissa,
this is from "an older lady"! am i allowed to comment?
i have been persuading your mom and others around me to use glass as a water bottle. have you ever had the sobe health drinks in glass bottles? the size is perfect for cars, hands, not too heavy (already tried the perrier, other selzer glass bottles, too big, heavy, they could slip and break)
and guess what? when it gets too yucky from weeks of use (it is easy to wash, tho, and you can see when extra care is needed!) then recycle it and get another one! also i fill several at a time, to keep in various parts of the house or fridge...
