Guest Blogging at Teen Book Review
So come see me over at Jocelyn's and leave some love. I wrote about using real life in fiction, like the way I set my books in Chapel Hill. Isn't it pretty? What do you love about your hometown?

I guess I love it because it's so familiar. It's between the small and medium side, and we're a college town, so it's especially nice in the summer when there are no students around, and the campus is deserted. Talk about lazy summer days.

I looove Chapel Hill. I want to move to Carrboro someday. I love my current city too, though. It's NYC--what's not to love! Everything is right at your fingertips.
Great blog, btw!!

That is a pretty picture! Aren't hometowns great? There's something so comforting and familiar about them. :)

My hometown is Corvallis, Oregon. Hm. I loved the town celebrations -- it's not the same in California. Cotton candy is no longer a 5-minute walk away :[.

Not much a small-town girl, but I think the experience of the friendly intimacy would be interesting - but I'm from Chicago so I'd scare everyone away, hehehe.
Also, the cover for Violet in Private looks bitchin' awesome!

My hometown is Massapequa, Long Island. I love it their because:
-My favorite Aunt, Uncle, cousins, and dog live there
-A very cheap manicure, a good slice of ziti pizza, gelatis, Ducky's(buy the cheap candy and avoid the curtain in the back where creepy old men go), a store which is exclusively dedicated to chess, quaint books stores and record shops are all only two blocks away
-Ice cream trucks!
-White Castle
-Jones Beach
-Only 45 minutes from NYC
-All the cool people are there (except for me =p)
Okay, I think that's it. For now anyway. xD

I consider Houston, Austin, and Fort Worth my hometowns and they're all near and dear to my heart. I love the way people drive too fast in all of them, I love the museums, I love the people. I love southern hospitality and casseroles, Dublin Dr. Pepper, the Astros, and my locals bookstores and librarians (particularly my ninth grade librarian.)
