Sigh.
I'm late on this, but I wasn't sure what to write and I'm having these River Phoenix flashbacks. For some reason, maybe because Heath lived close by in Brooklyn for a while and seemed like a happy-go-lucky brownstone-lovin' dad, I'm a little speechless. Not like if my best friend died, but maybe like a distant cousin? Anyway, I don't know why we feel close to celebrities, but we do. Don't we? Tell me I'm not the only crazy one. And my friend Anne told me about this nice Heath moment, so I looked it up, liked it, and wanted to post. He's so smiley. Sigh.

I absolutely agree. It's not as if I knew him, but I feel very sad about his death, very much the way I felt when River Phoenix died. Such a waste of talent.

Thanks for the post Melissa...I hadn't yet heard. What a shock. It's just so, incredibly, sad. He was such a talented actor and has that adorable little girl. :-(

Oh man. His death absolutely devastated me. A lot of people have told me, "Man, it's not like you knew the guy!" But you don't have to know somebody to be sad over their death. He was a fantastic actor, someone I truly admired, and I feel so horrible knowing that now his daughter has to grow up without a father.
That was a wonderful clip, too.
