Page Six!
Life imitates art as Violet on the Runway gets a Page Six mention today--under the headline "Beauties, Beware" no less!
Is it dorky to be excited that my name is bolded? I know it is, but indulge me.
PS-The first person to comment about the error in the Post's mention gets a free, brand new Lancome lipstick sent to them!

Melissa! That's AWESOME! I couldn't find the mistake, but it wasn't for lack of trying. ;)
Congrats on all the fabulous press thus far! I'm gonna have to pick up your book before it's sold out everywhere!

Well, this is a mistake, but I'm sure if it's the mistake you're thinking of -- they put quotes around Violet on the Runway instead of underlining it!
And ahh Melissa, I'm so happy for you! It's Katie from MySpace by the way, the one who is too busy to get around to buying your book (excuses, excuses -- just kidding!). Really, though, I am happy for you, and there's only better things awaiting you. :)

Congratulations Melissa! It's great to see you're doing so well. I found the mistake. Violet is from NORTH Carolina not South Carolina.

Congrats!! I don't know what Page Six is, but I think it's a big deal. Sarah Dessen mentioned something about Meg Cabot and Anne McCaffrey being mentioned in the plug for your book on her blog, and they're both brilliant authors, so congrats!! Once I have the money to buy VotR, I'll let you know what I think!

Congratulations on your first book! My copy has been shipped from Amazon.com. I know what the mistake is! Page six said that Violet is from SOUTH Carolina when she's really from North Carolina. Go Tigers!

The mistake is that it's NC, not SC... and Elyse won the prize (because she tried to post but couldn't, so emailed me instead). MW
