So many things to say today! I’m going to punctuate each part of this post with a glitter star.

First, that was Cynthia entering the contest! She won a prize, of course, along with a bunch of other brave souls who made me fun videos to entertain me during the slow summertime. I’ll be showing a few more lip syncing videos here as soon as I get permission from their makers. I just adore this game.
Now, if you made me a video, email me with your address and “Lip Sync Contest” in the subject and I’ll send you a prize. It’ll be good. Promise.
The winner of E. Lockhart’s A Treasure Map of Boys, as chosen at random from everyone who made a video and/or spread the word about the contest is… Erika! Send me your address, E!
Tomorrow, I promise to share my own lip sync video, along with some more of the entries from the contest. As soon as I get up the nerve.

frankie.jpgfrankie2.jpgThis week’s contest is for another E. Lockhart book, The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau Banks, now out in paperback. To enter, just comment below and tell me whether you prefer the hardcover (left) or paperback version (right). I think I’m partial to the hardcover, though I do love those shiny awards stickers. Go, E. Lockhart!

I am on the last audio cd of this book. Actually, I poured coffee on my car stereo, and for a couple days it wouldn’t work, and I was so distraught because this book is so awesome! Now I am finishing it (the stereo dried out and started miraculously working again), and I am a HARDCOVER enthusiast!

I’d prefer the hardcover, but I’ll happily have either one.

  34. Hmmm… I don’t think I like the paperback anywhere near as much as the hardcover. The paper is a nice touch, but I love the *mystery* about the hardcover. It gives little away, but that wax seal is just dying to be opened, isn’t it?

Definitely the hardcover, the old fashioned wax seal just says open me.

  40. Alex says:

Definitely the hardcover. For some reason, the paperback does nothing for me. Usually I like it with real people on the cover, but I don’t like this one. Maybe because the model looks young. And is wearing a blue polo. I very much dislike polos. :P
